That loving attention extended to friends, neighbors, and random people she met in shopping lines and various waiting rooms! This meant that there was a poster of Snoopy in her front window that told any child who was scared or felt threatened, that her house was a place they could run to, to be safe. Her girls’ friends felt as at home with her as her own children, and she welcomed everyone. She was everyone’s room parent, CCD teacher, prom planner, driver to away football and basketball games, a compassionate listening ear. Now, can we talk about her grandchildren? Oh, how she love them! She loved NASCAR, the Buffalo Bills, her iPad, arguing politics, and her church, not necessarily in that order. She was a spokesmodel for Pontiac before meeting and marrying Ed. She was born Arlene Carmella Leone in Dunkirk, New York on Novemone of two daughters of Samuel Russell Leone and Mary Josephine (Alessi) Leone.Īrlene was a cheerleader at Dunkirk high school, and her senior superlative was DHS Jitterbug Star and Best Actress.
